I'm still alive!! Sorta...I apologize for the unannounced hiatus. Life has been chaotic for the last two weeks. Between work being crazy busy and moving, I barely had time for anything else. In fact, I think I haven't seen M in two weeks (I miss youuu)!

So about this outfit...I have a thing now for loud patterns on slouchy pajama-like trousers. These photos were taken before the move. If you asked me right now, I wouldn't be able to tell you where they are. I still can't decide if packing is worse or if unpacking is.

Sorry for the short post! I'm off to bed as I have an early start again for work tomorrow. Good night!

heaven is a place on earth with you

I'm already channeling the nautical look in anticipation of spring! By now you have seen me in countless outfits in this colour ménage. As my style rut continues so does my falling back to classics. When the weather gets a bit warmer and I get a tripod, I promise I will get around to a post on the essentials that I fall back on when I don't know what to wear.

This time next week I'll be in NYC eating my way through the bakeries and gelaterias. Most people don't believe in substituting meals with desserts, but I do! Eating cake or pie for dinner is completely acceptable in my books haha. Honestly, I haven't felt 100% myself lately. Something dimmer switched me down a few notches in energy and spirit...to regular human levels from my normal setting of hummingbird like hyperactive-ness. A change of settings (and diabetes inducing amounts of sugar) should turn things around a bit.

M and I will be back to our regular posting schedule once it gets a little bit warmer and there's more daylight in the evenings (our main shooting time), we promise! It has just hit me that I only have one weekend left until the big move and I pretty much won't get any of time to pack then because I have a big work project to do on Saturday and Sunday I have family obligations (still getting through all the Lunar New Year stuff!). My goal for the next two weeks is to do at least a box a day. Wish me luck!

In outfit related news, I saw this lace skull tee at H&M the other week and couldn't resist it. Love the contrast of fabric and idea.

tell me secrets only trouble know

Was it just me or was the first month of 2013 a blur? Despite the speed at which it slipped by my notice, I feel really worn down, mentally and physically. Hello skin freak out...ugh! Since I'm seriously overdue for a vacation, I booked a 4 day trip to New York City at the end of this month. Even if it is just getting away for a few days, it is nice to have something to look forward to.

Honestly lately I've been completely uninterested in clothing so I'm hoping that spending some time in NYC will give me some inspiration and get me back into the swing of things. Although judging by what I've pinned so far on my Google map, I'm really going there for food. This was just a plain work ensemble from last week. My entire week was variations of tanks and blazers...will have to spice things up this week before I become too corporate!

On a side note, today's blog title is courtesy of Mikky Ekko's Pull Me Down, have a listen on Youtube.

sit back down where you belong

I have to say, I'm looking pretty tired in my photos lately. Winter is definitely getting me down! Last night I left work around 5:20pm and noticed how bright it was outside still! Spring is on it's way. I can't wait until I don't have to wear my parka and the same two pairs of winter boots anymore. Yesterday I wore an old pair of Nine West wedge boots and nearly twisted my ankle because of some unshovelled sidewalks. Sigh. Back to my boots with grip. I don't mix well with winter and am almost guarantee to slip and fall at least once per season. My knee currently has a huge bruise on it because I took a huge tumble on a patch of ice a couple of days ago! Ouch.
